Maple Shade Street Festival
September 11, 2010
Ryan, Nikki and Ava Mayer working our first Alphabetown event!! We had a great time and look forward to the next event on October 3rd at the Collingswood book festival on Main Street :)
We had a successful run at our first event, including raising over $100 for our first children's charity, "Alex's Lemonade Stand"! Three lucky winners won in our raffle. We gave away a cool Razor scooter with helmet, a V-tech build your own story electronic game and a third package consisting of a Leap Frog Fridge Talk, Mr. Bump medical kit and a Garanimals playset all of which were donated by Walmart in Cinnaminson. 100% of the raffle money was donated to the charity. Looking forward to more charity fun in Collingswood!

Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey, Camden
Wednesday, December 22, 2010
The authors' families (Ormsbys, Mayers and McHughs) were generous enough to get together and donate books that were signed with a personal message in each book. The authors hand delivered the books along with their 3 daughters. We were able to deliver enough books to give one for each child staying in the house ages 7 and under. We were not able to read to the children but had a quick tour of the downstairs! The house was decorated beautifully for the holidays!! Thank you for letting us be involved!
Thank you to the following families:
Ryan and Nicole Mayer & Family
Bob and Bobbie Hill
Lorraine Atkinson
Lori Bowker & Family
Garry and Donna Ormsby & Family
Susan & Gerry McHugh
Hannah and Madison Mayer write their own message to the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House while Nicole wraps them up with ribbons and candy canes.

The children represented by The Dooley House are forever grateful, especially because they have recently lost their state funding and have been moved to a shelter.
